DiGRA Flanders is proud to announce its next DiGRA meeting in Ghent on Thursday May 23rd @ 13:00 (or 8:30 if you attend the complete program). The meeting will take place be during the Games, Culture & Rhetoric symposium which features interesting lectures by Christopher Paul & Jeffrey S. Philpott (Seattle University), Jason Thompson (University of Wyoming), Marlin Bates (University of the Pacific), Barry Brummett (University of Texas at Austin) and DiGRA’s very own Jeroen Bourgonjon (Ghent University) and Gerald Voorhees.
DiGRA’s speaker sessions:
• Art education’s gameplay: some thougts and ideas by the art world
Tom De Mette (Vrije Universiteit Brussel)
• An introduction to game-based research on games for rehabilitation
Niels Quinten (MAD Faculty, UHasselt)
• World War II Revisited – Traveling through time and space in historical FPS games
Pieter Van den Heede (Ghent University)
Attendance to the DiGRA meeting and the afternoon of the symposium is free but registration is required.
