Woolfe: The Red Hood Diaries, GRIN’s 2.5D platformer is currently still in full development for release in Spring 2015. For Halloween, the studio decided to treat their community to a pumpkin flavoured appetizer of the game: today, Friday October 31, GRIN releases a first public alpha-demo for PC.
GRIN’s twisted fairytale sidescroller is a dark and fresh take on the well known story and character of Red Riding Hood. Popular demand lead the developers to the decision of finally releasing some gameplay to the public and Halloween seemed like the perfect occasion to do so. The public alpha demo consists of three micro-levels (The Sewer Side, Heavy Metal and Meaner Pastures), which are basically extracts of levels that are in development as we speak. So far, only a happy few Gamescom visitors have had the chance to experience these demo-levels. For the Halloween release, GRIN upgraded the levels and integrated some destructable pumpkins, just for fun.
