4DDynamics has crossed the ocean 2 months ago and started scanning itself a way into the American future. The Belgian based company started a second branch in New York at BelCam’s start-up incubator: The Atelier. Last month 4DDynamics was also featured in The Wall Street Journal in a short article by Ralph Gardner Jr.
The columnist ran into 4DD’s fully automated body scanner (the IIIDBody) at the opening event of the new incubator. The body scanner can manage up to a 1000 full scan cycles a day. Those scans can be used for online sharing, 3D printing, personalized gaming characters and more. Your only limit is your own imagination!
This Belgian company believes that 3D printing and scanning is the future and is actually scanning itself a way into the virtual future. You can use their technology to get an exact (and highly detailed) digital copy of yourself to start building your own virtual world. 4DDynamics is the worldwide leader in scanning technology and distributes its products and services across the globe. The scanner is also capable of scanning objects for museums, making it a great tool to help these institutions study and preserve their collections.
Since 2013 their equipment has also been available to end-consumers and schools, so that they too can explore the wonderful world of the virtual.
