Great news from two Walloon/Brussels game studios! Epistory by Walloon studio Fishing Cactus will see its final release on Steam on 30 March and Bombslinger by Brussels studio Mode4Games is on Steam Greenlight right now to make a future release on Steam possible.
Epistory is an atmospheric adventure typing game that tells the story of a writer lacking inspiration who asks her muse to help write his latest book. In Epistory you play the muse, a fictional character in a world where everything is untold. Your adventure begins on a blank page, but the world will soon become larger and livelier as you gather inspiration, solve its mysteries and defeat its enemies. From movement to opening chests and fighting in epic battles, every element in the game is controlled exclusively with the keyboard. As you progress and explore the fantasy origami world, the story literally unfolds in the writer’s mind and the mysteries of the magic power of the words are revealed. Check out the game now on Steam.
Bombslinger is a Spaghetti Western single and (local) multiplayer player action game very much inspired by Bomberman. It’s a classic quest to avenge your family’s murder by the hand of your younger brother and former posse-companion, the Gunslinger. Although the Bomberman inspiration is obvious, Mode4Games chose to tackle it from a single-player perspective first (they are big fans of the SEGA Saturn Bomberman single player mode).
To give the gameplay an original twist they are adding rogue-like elements like randomly generated levels, enemies, weapon upgrades, items and abilities. There will be 4 environments and several bosses to fight. Last but not least, there will be a couple of multiplayer modes as well. Bombslinger is on Steam Greenlight right now and needs your vote to make it onto Steam, so head over to their page and show them your support.
