With the addition of design and innovation group Leap Forward, we can welcome no less than three new development studios to the ever growing FLEGA family. While every company has its specialty, Little Miss Robot, Knight Moves and Once Storytelling form a powerful triforce who share the same love for innovative technology and design their digital products around the user experience.
Having already created a lot of games for clients and even developed their own physical card game, their most ambitious game project to date is without a doubt Journey for Elysium. A co-creation between Once and Knight Moves, this VR storytelling experience wants to take you on an epic quest through an underworld that draws inspiration from both Greek and Roman mythology. The game’s still in preproduction, but this teaser trailer will already put you in the right mood.
Playing the role of a slain warrior, you find yourself on an old rowboat somewhere between life and death. Using VR touch controllers you will quite literally have to peddle your way down this mysterious stream in order to reach Elysium and obtain redemption. However the path to your final destination is dangerous and rife with obstacles. The game will throw you classic adventure game puzzles that can only be solved by keeping your eyes open and fully immersing yourself in the game world.
This all sounds very promising and we can’t wait to take hold of the oars ourselves. Journey for Elysium will be on show at our GDC pre-mixer, so we won’t have to wait very long. If you’re not going to San Francisco, you can already savour a taste of what the team’s going for with a cool interactive experience on the game’s website. Check it out!
As if Journey for Elysium wasn’t proof enough that Leap Forward is doubling down on video games, they also have plans to host a two day game conference in early 2019. Expect more info on that in the coming months.
