Screenshake 2016, Belgium’s only international indie game festival, is almost upon us. It will take place on February 19-21 at Het Bos in Antwerp. You can check out the complete program on the event’s website right now and it looks mighty promising.
As usual the festival offers an eclectic mix of indie games & art expos (Belgian Arcade, Klondike Expo), talks and performances (we especially look forward to Ojiro Fumoto, the creator of the amazing Downwell), multiplayer fun, a documentary screening (Thank You For Playing) and some crazy parties with great music from international chiptune bands like Please Lose Battle, David Kanaga and many more.
The festival will start with a bang on February 19 with the very first Belgian Game Awards. Submissions are no longer possible. The nominees will be announced this Saturday at the BelgianGamesCafe (brought to you by WALGA, Screen.Brussels and FLEGA), right after the finals of the Belgian Game Development Championship (BeGDC), organized by the National Lottery and Vasco Data Security.
Registration for the BelgianGamesCafe is closed. At the time of this writing you can still buy tickets for Screenshake 2016.
