Released to overwhelming critical acclaim, reaching nearly a million copies sold and winning over 150 game of the year awards and nominations, Larian Studios’ RPG Divinity: Original Sin is now coming to consoles (PS4 and Xbox One) for the first time in an Enhanced Edition that includes a host of completely new and enhanced content.
Divinity: Original Sin Enhanced Edition will also be released on PC, Mac, Linux & SteamOS as a complete new package – free for existing Divinity: Original Sin owners. Note: The Mac and Linux versions have been slightly delayed and will be arriving in early December.
‘The Best RPG in years’ (PC Gamer) receives a full makeover, including – but not limited to – the following exciting additions and tweaks:
- New intuitive user-interface tailored for controllers
- Dynamic split-screen for co-op
- Fully voiced and remastered dialogs with AAA-actors
- Hours of new content; quests, combat-styles, locations, changes to the crafting system and a reworked storyline breathe new life into the already expansive world of Rivellon.
The reviews for this Enhanced Edition aren’t in yet, but an unfinished version of the game was very well received by journalists, influencers and consumers alike when it was shown at various big conventions the past few months. Reviews will start appearing online later this week.
And don’t forget that Larian Studios is already working on the sequel DOS: Original Sin 2. As we announced in a blogpost in early September their Kickstarter campaign was a huge success. After 35 days, 42,713 backers, over 19,000 comments, and a whopping final total of $2,032,434 (plus an estimated $43,000 from Paypal) they reached all of the stretch goals and are now in the process of making the RPG of their (and probably also our) dreams!
