A typical QuizWitz Live event is different from a classic quiz in a number of ways. By using the QuizWitz application, in development at proud FLEGA member Catlab Interactive, it’s no longer necessary to write down all the answers, nor do you have to sit around doing nothing while a jury is checking for correct answers or is calculating scores. The result is an all new way of quizzing where fun and new technology take center stage.
The next events will take place on Wednesday May 18 (that’s next week!) and Wednesday June 15 in the Backstay Bar in Ghent. The quiz kicks off at 20h30 (sharp!) and finishes around 23h30. So round up your party of four and head over to the website to register your team (€16/team). The only thing you need to bring as a team are your brains, good spirits, and a fully charged tablet (smartphones or laptops work, but tablets offer the best ). There’s even a prize for the winner!
QuizWitz is a quiz game that can either be played in single player or in party mode. Apart from answering default questions that are linked to the game, players are able to create their own question packs and share them with an ever growing quiz community. You can rate other people’s quizzes, follow your favourite quiz masters or try to climb the leaderboards. The game’s still in beta but thanks to a successful crowdfunding campaign, the team is working on an updated version that will have even more features.
