The Flemish Games Industry has been growing steadily these past couple of years, which in turn has led to a lot of interesting job openings.
Die Keure, an innovative Flemish publisher based in Bruges, is currently looking for a story writer/game designer (link in Dutch only) to work on the Kweetet.be project, a safe online educational platform, based on actual school programs, that lets children learn all kinds of things within a beautiful 3D world. Inside the realm of this world, kids play mini games, have adventures and pimp their avatars with the points (kwetons) they gather along the way.
The story for Kweetet.be is written by experienced authors of youth literature, but Die Keure is looking to hire a story writer/game designer to come up with quest ideas and adapt the story to the game. This involves writing and recording funny dialogues, creating bigger than life characters and making sure everything comes together perfectly in the end. PreviewLabs, based in Wetteren, also has a very attractive job opening at the moment. They are looking for a creative project manager. As a creative project manager, you’ll take full ownership of projects – from early conversations with the client until delivery and beyond. This includes writing proposals, following up on the development, and testing. The position is open to anyone permitted to work within the European Union – including anyone with a EU nationality. As a junior accountant you will enforce the finance team and be co-responsible for accounting tasks.
