During the development of a game, not everything is immediately ready to be shown to the general public. The game can be very buggy, it uses a lot of placeholder art and it hardly resembles what the final product will look and play like.
Therefore, most developers are very careful about sharing the development process. But the people at LuGus Studios see things differently. They enjoy sharing every step of the way with their community. They intend to release images and videos about the development of their FPV drone racing game Liftoff on a regular basis and document the entire development on the game’s YouTube channel.
The past few weeks they have already released a few ‘Behind The Scenes’ videos. One video is art-focussed and talks about modelling, texturing and the use of Speedtree. In another video, LuGus delves deeper into the drone physics simulation and the programming processes. A third video shows the inspiration behind the game and includes some very cool real life FPV drone racing from the Belgian drone racing scene. Like what you see? Then please subscribe to their YouTube channel or follow the action on Steam Greenlight.
LuGus also invites everyone to follow the development of Liftoff on their Facebook page and Twitter account. They welcome feedback and suggestions to make the best possible game!
