We all know how fussy we are about sharing sales data with others, but Gamasutra has launched a call to action to share your data as developers with the world. I-Illusions already took the lead earlier this year by publishing sales information from Element4l on their own website, proving that sharing information is not that scary after all…
More and more developers are sharing what they know. David D’Angelo’s Shovel Knight was covered extensively in a blog on Gamasutra and others are following the example. They are now asking for everybody to share their information too so that you may help others understand the game market and to set benchmarks.
The best submissions (not meaning the most successful ones!) will be featured on Gamasutra’s front page and will be published on the official social media feeds with over 120,000 followers as a reward! Check out how to submit by reading the blogging guidelines.
