Pew Pew, Stuff Dies is the latest crazy idea to crawl out of the brains of location based game makers Apocalypse Hunters. The aptly named game, the result of toying around with different AR/VR technologies, is a funny augmented reality shooter where you take on hordes of weird space monsters to help out a space hedgehog named Spiky. For some reason.
Bizarre narrative choices aside, the game features a cool upgrade system to unlock new weapons by collecting chems you get from defeated enemies. Upgrading your arsenal will be vital if you want to keep resisting the increasingly difficult waves of monsters that just love to tear you to shreds. Another cool feature are the AR portals that make the battles take place in a mix of virtual and real environments.
Pew Pew, Stuff Dies has been in alpha for some time now but the team still has big plans for the game. They want to add a defense tower to help you crush your enemies and include health boosters to the upgrade system. Give the game a shot and make sure to tell the creators how you feel about it.
