The summer period is one in which everybody starts feeling generous and starts spending money. Onebip decided to make an infographic about the mobile carrier billing.
Onebip’s mobile payment platform was able to shed some light on a few spending habits of the world’s online gamers. More and more people choose to pay through their mobile phone for their (online) games.
The average payment per transaction varies across the globe, but Switzerland is leading the charge with €15.09 per spend. Next is Austria with an average of €9.37. Belgium’s average is currently on the 5th place in the ranking with €8.63.
Onebip estimates that the global gaming market will hit $102.9 billion by 2017, and that mobile gaming will secure a quarter of that estimate by end 2014! They advise all developers to investigate how carrier billing might profit them.
