Liftoff has been the bread and butter of our proud member and longtime benefactor LuGus Studios for some years now. It was only a matter of time before the succesful drone racing simulations would make its way to consoles. Time that has run out, as Liftoff: Drone Racing hits PS4 and Xbox One today.
Console players can look forward to the same intense and truthful high-speed drone racing experience that made the pc version a favourite with the drone racing community. Next to optimised controls and an assisted flight feature for drone rookies, this version features a brand new campaign mode with an updated progressions system. In the career mode you’ll transform from an unknown hobbyist that’s flying drones in his backyard to one of the best drone racing pilots on the circuit.
You can develop your flying skills both in the solo career or show off your moves in online multiplayer. Here, you can challenge up to 6 other drone racers in a variety of modes. The game offers 12 different environments such as a construction site, barn yard and forest, which encompass 60 different tracks that can be conquered both by day and night.
Building on years of partnerships with key players in the drone racing world, players can assemble their drones out of countless original licensed frames and parts to give you an extra edge to reel in the victory. For those of you that really want to show their love for the game, there’s a Deluxe Edition that offers four unique skins to really stand out from the crowd.
The digital version of Liftoff: Drone Racing is out right now on PS4 and Xbox One. Drone pilots who prefer their video games on a disc, will have to wait until 24th November for the retail edition to hit (web) stores.
Congratulations to everyone at LuGus Studios and publisher astragon Entertainment with this new achievement and see you on the race track!
