As the doors of the Los Angeles Convention Center slam shut after a rather spectacular E3 (just ask Belgian representatives Larian Studios and I-Illusions!), the eyes of the gaming world turn to gamescom.
As you might remember, our proud nation is once again gearing up for a majestic presence in Cologne. The Belgian games booth will be even bigger (168m²) than last year so all Belgian game companies can show the gaming world what they’re made of.
In the coming weeks, follow us on the road to gamescom as we’ll take a closer look at what will be on show. First up, it’s… 1UP Conference! *insert 1UP sound*
1UP Conference is a brand new game event that will take place in Kortrijk next February. Every game fanatic, it doesn’t matter whether you’re in the industry or not, is invited to celebrate the wonderful world of mobile, console and pc gaming. There’ll be an exhibition floor where you can discover the future of gaming, try out the best tech and most immersive experiences of the moment and show your worth during eSports tournaments.
The 2 day event will also host a range of top class speakers. The only one announced so far is Kate Edwards, CEO of Geogrify and former Executive Director (2012-2017) of the IGDA, but there’s many more exciting names to be announced in the coming weeks and months.
