We are very excited to announce the categories and nominees for the 1st Belgian Game Awards! Besides the awards there will also be the e-Lotto Fresh Talent Prize, made available by our partner e-Lotto.
The nominees for the awards are:
Best PC-console game: Divinity: Original Sin – Enhanced Edition by Larian Studios; Guns, Gore & Cannoli by Crazy Monkey Studios and Soft Body by Zeke Virant. Honorable Mention: Order of Battle – Pacific
Best mobile game: AfterLoop by Exiin; No Second Chance by Sweet Sweet Studios and Winter by Happy Volcano. Honorable Mention: Where is cat?
Best student game: Aetherdrift by Orbital Shark, Compass by Linsey Raymaekers and Hexjack by Michel Mohr.
Best art: Divinity: Original Sin – Enhanced Edition by Larian Studios; Guns, Gore & Cannoli by Crazy Monkey Studios and Soft Body by Zeke Virant. Honorable Mentions: Epistory, Guild of Darksteel and Winter.
Innovation award: Epistory by Fishing Cactus; Liftoff by LuGus Studios and Soft Body by Zeke Virant. Honorable Mention: sU and the Quest for meaning.
As a special prize our partner e-Lotto is giving away €1000 to fresh upcoming talent in the Belgian games industry. The winner of the e-Lotto Fresh Talent Prize will also be announced during the award ceremony of the Belgian Game Awards on February 19 2016.
The nominees for the e-Lotto Fresh Talent Prize are: Domiverse by Haunted Tie, Guild of Darksteel by Igor Sandman, Healer’s Quest by Pablo Coma, Malebolgia by Dascumaru, QuizWitz by CatLab Interactive and sU and the Quest for meaning by Guillaume Bouckaert.
You can still buy tickets for the Belgian Game Awards on the event’s website. The one and only Wim Wouters (former GRIN) will be the host of the Awards evening. The Belgian Game Awards are made possible by the National Lottery and by all of the parties below.
