Mobile devs! The holidays are fast approaching but don’t put on that cosy Christmas sweater just yet. Before you gather around the tree to celebrate with family and friends, you might want to submit your game for two of the most prestigious mobile game industry awards out there.
First up is the 14th edition of the International Mobile Gaming Awards. Don’t be discouraged by the fact hundreds of mobile games get submitted every year and only ten of them go home with an award in the end. This is the big leagues and as you will be competing with major mobile game forces around the world, your game will be really valued for its worth. You can enter a game if it has released on a mobile platform in 2017. Unreleased work in progress can be submitted as well, but you will be only eligible for Best Upcoming Game. The final awards ceremony is held in San Francisco on March 20th, during GDC. If you haven’t already, you might want to join us forĀ Mission San Francisco?
If you don’t feel like going head to head with mobile superpowers like Niantic and Supercell, the Google Play Indie Games Contest will be more to your taste. Entry for that competition is limited to European companies of 30 people or less who published a game on the Google Play store during 2017. Nominees will win a paid trip to exhibit their game at the final event in London on February 13th. Prizes include digital media campaigns, premium placements on the Google Play Store, the latest Google hardware like a Pixel 2 and tickets to Google’s I/O 2018 conference in San Francisco.
The submission deadline for both contests is December 31st 2017. You have 20 days. Go!
