Are you in the process of developing a serious game or are you walking around with a great idea for one, but you lack the necessary funding? Then don’t hesitate to reach out to VAF (Vlaams Audiovisueel Fonds) to apply for subsidies. This gaming fund was created in 2012 by Minister of Media Ingrid Lieten and Minister of Education Pascal Smet to stimulate the development of games by Flemish studios.
The VAF deadline for serious games (aimed at compulsory education) is coming up soon on April 20. These games are directed specifically towards students in primary and secondary education. VAF has set aside a yearly budget of € 200k for this type of serious games. 6 specialists will review the entries and provide the board of directors of VAF with advice on which games they believe in most.
You can contact VAF directly for more information.
