One of the few downsides of traveling stateside is the lack of reasonably priced, quality Belgian beer. Together with generous sponsors Cronos and Digital Wallonia we’ve found the perfect solution: host a #BelgianGamesCafe in the heart of San Francisco!
You’re welcome to join us for an informal night of networking and talking all things #BelgianGamesIndustry. We’ll take care of the food and drinks (there’ll be Affligem blonde beer!) so you can focus on broadening your network and get to know our talented game professionals. Confirmed attendees include key people from Unity Technologies, HOWEST Digital Arts & Entertainment, Valve, many Belgian game studios and more.
We’re also glad to announce that Flemish minister of Culture, Media, Youth and Brussels Sven Gatz (link in Dutch) will be joining Mission San Francisco this year. As part of experiencing what the world’s biggest happening for game developers is all about, he will deliver a short speech at the event around 9PM.
#BelgianGamesCafe will take place on Wednesday March 21 from 7:30-10 PM. Place to be is the Tradition bar at 441 Jones Street. The event is free but please sign up here and don’t hesitate to invite as many interesting industry people as you can. Also of note: the venue is off limits to anyone under 21 so please bring valid photo ID.
We hope you spread the word and we’ll be able to welcome you in big numbers, so we can turn this edition of #BelgianGamesCafe into another surefire success. Cheers!
