Listen! Do you hear those gunshots in the distance? That’s the sweet sound of players already enjoying Guns, Gore & Cannoli 2. The newest game of proud FLEGA member Crazy Monkey Studios is out now and promises more guns, more gore and – especially – more cannoli. We hope you’ve been dusting off those Thompson machine guns. Because lord knows you’re going to need them!
Building on the crazy action of the acclaimed original, the campaign mode once again features our favourite mafia hero Vinnie Cannoli. Only this time he’s more angry than a redneck at an NRA rally and more deadly than those fancy Russian rockets.
The story kicks off some 15 years after the events of the first game. The Thugtown Massacre should have been a long forgotten memory, but when some loose ends of the past start crawling out, Vinnie will have to travel around the world to save the day. Whacking anyone who stands in his way.
Traveling as far as the European battlefields of the second World War, players will get to whack mobsters, zombies, monsters, Nazis and everything in between. Using a ridiculous arsenal of weapons (just wait till you try out double wielding!), you’ll blast yourself a way through a variety of gorgeous hand-drawn levels.
The new weapon wheel and full 360° aiming combined with improved mobility of good old Vinnie lets you easily shoot everything that moves, including a handful of over the top bosses that will ask the most of your shooting ability.
Guns, Gore & Cannoli 2 also introduces a much requested fan feature: 4 player online multiplayer. Because the only thing more fun than shooting zombies, is blasting the hell out of some undead Nazis with some friends. Those who prefer to be in high-fiving distance of their killing squad can rest assured that local multiplayer is still an option.
So cancel those weekend plans and check out the fruits of their labour now on Steam. Console owners will have to sit tight as versions for PS4, Switch and Xbox One are expected to land in the coming months. Here’s to another great addition to the portfolio of the #FlemishGamesIndustry!
