The popular American indie game convention IndieCade is finally coming to Europe. The first edition of IndieCade Europe will take place on November 18-19 in the Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers in Paris, France. Over the past years, IndieCade has put an early spotlight on future indie classics like Her Story, Axiom Verge, Nidhogg and Hyper Light Drifter.
You really don’t want to miss this.
There’s tons of stuff to get excited about. The IndieCade jurors have selected an extremely diverse collection of indie games from around the world to be showcased on the event floor. The focus is of course on European games and FLEGA is very proud to announce that Winter by Happy Volcano will be part of this prestigious showcase.
If your game wasn’t selected, there’s still a chance to show off your work, as IndieCade Europe will feature the popular Show & Tell demo area. Whether you’re playtesting a work-in-progress, promoting an upcoming release or are still dabbling with prototype ideas, you’ll be able to show off your work for two hours to IndieCade attendees. The Show & Tell area requires a ticket purchase and will be organised on a first come, first serve basis. More details will be announced soon.
Next to putting the spotlight on promising indie projects, IndieCade hosts a wide variety of speakers, conferences and workshops. Keynote speakers include:
- Michel Ancel, legendary developer and spiritual father of Rayman and Beyond Good & Evil
- Matt Nava, co-founder at Giant Squid and Art Director on Flower, Journey and Abzu
- Rami Ismail, co-founder at Vlambeer and indie game evangelist
There’s also a curated VR zone where you’ll get to try out exciting new virtual reality experiences developed by indie game studios. Last but not least, the event provides ample network opportunities. Whether you’re having fun in the multiplayer zone, or are simply hanging out in the lounge, you’ll meet a lot of like minded people including developers, indie game enthusiasts and industry press.
Grab your early bird ticket here, get on the biggest stage of indie game development and show the world what Belgian game developers are made from!
