Today’s your last chance to buy early bird tickets for Screenshake 2017, the fifth edition of Belgium’s only international independent game festival, taking place in Antwerp from February 10 till February 12. Organised by indie game collective The House of Indie, the festival aims to bring independent games to a broader audience.
With that goal in mind, Screenshake is much more than a collection of games. Next to an interactive games expo (watch out for Beasts of Balance and If Found, Please Return) Screenshake also hosts an art exhibition (featuring work by Dutch video game collective Sokpop and Katamari Damacy creator Keita Takahashi), musical performances accompanying live game playthroughs and a crazy party to dance your video game booty off.
You’ll also be able to attend plenty of talks and participate in workshops. The line-up of speakers hasn’t been completed yet, but there’s already a lot of indie goodness on offer, including…
- Heather Kelly (Kokoromi, Gamma)
- Pietro Righi Riva (Santa Ragione)
- Blush Box Game Collective
- …
As you can see, there’s plenty of reason to swing by. Today’s the final day to get your early bird tickets, which net you a 20% discount, for this inspiring event. If you’ve got a real heart for independent game development, you can also buy a supporter pass. Next to a weekend pass for the event, you’ll get some exclusive items like a t-shirt, posters and stickers. But most importantly, you’re helping to ensure the future of Screenshake. So don’t dilly dally and head over to the official website. See you there!
