Vaccine shots are hitting arms at a record pace these days. We don’t want to jinx it, but it looks like we’re finally at the tail end of this vicious health crisis. While your body’s fully recovered and protected, the same might not be true for your business. That’s where the Herstel Cultuurkrediet (link in Dutch) comes in.
Introduced in August 2020, it’s a long-term (max. 6 years) interest-free credit aimed at supporting artists and cultural organisations dealing with the backlash caused by COVID-19. The system was already able to support 27 organisations, including video game studios Happy Volcano and like Charlie, and the good news is it will be renewed for 2021 (link in Dutch).
If you’re looking for a way to bridge some financial gaps or invest in new activities, you can submit an application until 15th of November (link in Dutch). The credit maxes out at € 100.000 but if you meet certain criteria that amount can be increased to € 250.000. Please find out more details about conditions on the official website. You can always get in touch with Cultuurloket (link in Dutch) to help out with the application.
Again, this has proven succesful for video game studios in the past, so we sincerely hope more studios make use of these tools if they need them. Good luck!
