The engines are purring while your hand is slowly caressing the throttle. Not too long now before you can take this baby on the road, defying gravity and shattering light speed in the process. Yes, the pc version of scorchingly fast arcade racer Antigraviator is nearly here and we can’t wait to get our fill of this adrenaline pumped, high-octane racing experience.
Inspired by futuristic racing classics like WipeOut and F-Zero, Antigraviator is a fast-paced arcade racer where you’ll have to outmanoeuvre your opponents. If you’re not the better pilot, you can activate all kinds of traps on the track to slow down the competition and still be the first to cross the finish line. You can unlock new ships or skins and upgrades to customise them and you’d better bring your best weapon of choice to the local and online multiplayer battlefields or face the prospect of crushing defeat.
Just take in the rich atmosphere and crisp visuals and it’s hard to believe that two years ago this game was nothing more than an ambitious school project. Fresh out of school, the team has gone about their business like professionals with tons of games industry experience. Just like an up and coming rock band play as many venues as possible, Cybernetic Walrus have showcased Antigraviator at every possible moment. They made it virtually impossible for gamers to not notice their game and here’s hoping the team gets properly rewarded for their remarkable efforts.
The pc version of Antigraviator will be out today on Steam, and while the initial plan was to simultaneously release on PS4 and Xbox One, the team of just five developers has run into a small delay. To make sure console players get an equally great experience, the console versions will be out after the summer.
Congratulations to everyone at Cybernetic Walrus! Here’s hoping for another successful addition to the Flemish Games Industry line-up.
