Creative entrepreneurs have been hit hard by the ongoing coronacrisis. To provide extra support for Belgian creatives the lovely people at Flanders DC launched the online platform ikkoopbelgisch.be this week. The campaign urges people to make a deliberate choice for local, high quality creativity, and makes it really easy for potential clients to browse and buy.
You can already find a number of cool local video games (link in Dutch) such as Antigraviator, Factory Balls, and The Almost Gone but there’s room for plenty more. A nice touch is you can add links to third party sales platforms (such as Steam or the App Store) and your social media channels on your product page. Flemish developers can sign up here to get their game added to the collection. Brussels and Walloon studios will be featured on the French counterpart jachetebelge.be (link in French).
This is without a doubt a very nice opportunity to create extra visibility for your game so we hope a lot of our studios can take advantage of it. And while you’re at it, maybe you can share the love and support other Belgian creatives?
A big thank you to Flanders DC for this wonderful campaign and their continued support of the #BelgianGamesIndustry.
