Good news for everyone who wasn’t able to attend Prepare The Fair. Okay, you missed out on a great event, but thanks to some neat video footage of the talks (in English) and interviews (in Dutch) you can at least get the feeling you were there. Check it out!
We also unveiled our plans for the Belgian booth at gamescom. For the third consecutive year, the #BelgianGamesIndustry will be omnipresent at the Koelnmesse. About 16 Belgian studios will strutt their stuff in a shared booth that’s over 100 m² and even has its own dedicated VR space. And of course, it wouldn’t really be gamescom without the famous #BelgianBeerCafe. We will be celebrating our games with a nice beer on Tuesday August 22 (registration to follow later).
We received a lot of positive feedback from both speakers and attendees at Prepare The Fair and we couldn’t be more glad about it. The hashtag #preparethefair was even trending on Twitter for a while! Thanks to everyone who helped spread the word and made this possible!
We would also like to give it up once again for our speakers. Click on the name of the speaker to watch their complete talk (in English). Thanks to Kevin Haelterman (LuGus Studios) for sharing his previous gamescom adventures, Peter Jaspers (Flanders Investment and Trade) for explaining support and subsidies to attend international fairs, Katleen Evers (4EversGames) for her practical tips on how to approach publishers, Robert Brown (StridePR) for sharing some great PR secrets (no video available for this talk, sorry). Finally David Verbruggen (FLEGA) hands out tips&tricks how to prepare, attend and follow up on international videogame fairs such as gamescom. Additionally, you can find all presentations right here.
Extra special thanks to Flanders DC, in particular Marie Boutsen, Natascha Rommens and Jasmien Wynants, for the spotless organisation. If everything pans out just as great in August, Cologne’s got no idea what’s coming for them. Roll on gamescom!
