Big news coming from our proud member Triangle Factory! After closely collaborating on the development of a series of location-based VR games for The Park, Telenet is leveling up its partnership with the Ghent based studio by taking a stake in the company. This will allow The Park to focus even more on innovation and create more own content in the future.
CEO Timothy Vanherberghen is extremely satisfied with the deal, stating that his studio not only gets closer to the end consumer which allows them to create better experiences. By participating in the growth story of The Park, they also get access to professionally equipped location-based entertainment structure and tap into the strong shareholders network of The Park (9.5 Ventures, Telenet, Liberty Global) which will no doubt facilitate their own growth. Exciting times ahead!
Their next VR project Hyper Dash will be one of the first original VR experiences that you can play in the comfort of your own living room. COVID-19 gave The Park an opportunity to roll out a home rental program for VR equipment and the multiplayer VR shooter makes for an ideal fit. Built with stand-alone VR headsets in mind, the game lets multiple players duke it out on the battlefield without leaving the house. Truly a game for our current times.
With a keen eye for valuable partnerships, Triangle Factory has been creating succesful quiz games based on popular tv formats such as Trivia Switch and De Slimste Mens ter Wereld. They have also built world class location-based VR entertainment for The Park, such as the zombie shooter The Hallow and an adaptation of Telenet’s thrilling fiction series De Dag.
Currently at 20 people strong, Triangle Factory is still looking to hire a range of junior and senior profiles to embark with them on this exciting new journey. Congratulations to everyone involved!
